Puck in the Net

This is a single player drill. The reason for this drill is to have a player hustle to the center of the ice, get a puck, and go in for a shot. If the player makes a shot, they go and get another puck. If they miss wide, they must bring the puck back over the blue line and do it again. If a shot goes into the net and comes back over the goal line, the player must crash the net for a rebound. This will continue until all three pucks stay in the net. It works on quick shooting, crashing the net, rebounding, breakouts, all out attack, and endurance.

Practice Warm-Up

Focuses on warming up by skating, passing, edge control around pilons, and shooting.  Goalies can participate in the first drill by passing the puck to the first player in line, working on the goalies stick and puck control.  Players take shots on the Goalies in the second drill.

There are 2 separate drills in this file, utilizing the same area of the ice, setup in different layers.  There are also variations of each of these drills noted within the comments, focusing on keeping the players heads up ( when going opposite directions ), pivoting from frontwards to backwards, as well as passing and receiving a pass while skating forwards and backwards.
